Hycosan Extra is a high-strength, preservative-free lubricating eye drop containing 0.2% sodium hyaluronate, twice the concentration of Hycosan Original, designed for more severe or persistent dry eye symptoms such as grittiness, soreness, burning, or a foreign-body sensation.

Sodium hyaluronate is a substance naturally found in the eye. It binds water and forms a stable, even film over the eye's surface that isn't easily rinsed away, helping protect the cornea and conjunctiva and allowing the eyelid to move smoothly over the eye.

It's suitable for long-term use, since it's preservative-free, and is often recommended for more intense or persistent symptoms than milder drops address, including discomfort following eye surgery, as advised by an eye care professional. It's compatible with all contact lenses.

Hyco extra eye drops contain 0.2% sodium hyaluronate, a natural substance found in the eye that forms a stable, long-lasting moisturising film. Unlike standard dry eye drops, hycosan extra eye drop is 4x more viscous than the original Hycosan formula, which translates into a significantly longer duration of action — ideal for more severe cases.

The hycosan drops use the patented COMOD® valve system, which delivers precise, measured drops without preservatives. The unique multidose bottle remains sterile for 6 months after opening, unlike most eye drops that must be discarded after 28 days.

The preservative-free, phosphate-free formula is suitable for all contact lens types and can be used alongside other eye medications (allow a 15-minute gap).

This formula contains Sodium Hyaluronate 0.2% (2 mg per ml) as the active ingredient to provide long-lasting lubrication and hydration for dry eyes. Other ingredients include sorbitol, anhydrous citric acid, sodium citrate, and water for injections.

This product is preservative-free and phosphate-free.

Adults and children aged 6+: 1 drop in each affected eye up to 3 times daily
Prime bottle before first use: remove cap, invert, press base firmly until first drop appears
Tilt head back, gently pull down lower eyelid, apply one drop
Avoid touching eye with dropper tip
Discard 6 months after opening

Do not use if allergic to any ingredient
May cause temporary blurred vision immediately after application; wait for vision to clear before driving or operating machinery
If eye pain, persistent redness, or vision changes occur, discontinue use and consult a professional
Keep out of reach of children
Do not use after 6 months from opening
If using multiple eye drops, space applications at least 15 minutes apart, with hycosan extra eye drop applied last
